Commonly Asked Questions

  • Therapy is a fantastic way to sort out problems in your life, uncomfortable feelings, issues stemming from trauma or relationships. The beauty of the process is that everyone’s therapy sessions look different and are cultivated to fit the individual. I provide a fresh perspective and aim to empower you to look within to become the best version of “you.”

For parents, I offer support both during and in-between sessions with your child to discuss skills to promote more positive interactions between you and your child, while also supporting you in this often challenging role.

  • Children’s therapy and teen therapy helps your child to garner a better understanding of their experience in the world, their role in the family, how to understand feelings, and how to foster coping skills and growth. Your child does not need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy; however, children with ADHD, Autism, depression or anxiety often do benefit from extra support.

  • Depending on your child’s age, I always recommend that you explain therapy as a safe place to go to play, to talk, and to sort out all sorts of feelings. I always encourage a parent to sit in for at least the first 5-10 minutes of the first therapy session, so your child can feel comfortable. In my experience, most children and teens are okay sitting with me alone after that, but it is a case by case decision.

If you have any more questions about this, feel free to contact me!

  • I am an out-of-network provider, so I do not directly take insurance for therapy services. I am happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider if you have out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health. I have chosen not to panel with any insurances to provide you with full control over your therapy and therapy model.

For therapy clients out-of-network, please make Note of the No Surprises Act. Should we begin working together, I will provide you with detailed information, as well as, a Good Faith Estimate prior to intake.

  • Individual therapy sessions are for 45 minutes and cost $175.

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept payment by credit card and debit card.

  • I work with as young as 5 years old through young adulthood.

Many of my teenage and young adult clients come to me during a transitional time in their lives, such as moving up to middle school, going to college or graduating college.

  • I am currently a fully-virtual practice. All therapy sessions are currently being conducted via telehealth. We will meet on a confidential platform which allows for encrypted and private communication between clients and myself.
